In a world full of people with individual personalities, we are judged on our looks and appearances first. People imitate others through their own personal expression. They try to figure out who they are and create their own style and "appearance personality" so that they can stand out from the crowd and be considered unique. Everything stems from something or someone else. From internal personality derives the creation of a one-of-a-kind external form of expression for each individual. That is what I am attempting to show through this series of photos, without ever showing my models' faces. The idea is this: People tend to wear who they are, or at least who they are trying to be. On the outside, before people even know someone, we judge. It's human nature. My series shows you who you really are. Each model was asked a couple simple things: Bring an item that represents your habits, addictions or vices, or an item that is special to them. They must wear an outfit that they think makes them feel most like themselves. Last, they must tell me what their professional aspiration is in life, their ultimate goal of who they would like to one day become. This becomes the name of their image. It's a little bit about who they really are inside...a secret. This is my attempt at opening your eyes about who you really are, or what you truly could become if you put your mind to it. When was the last time you were told to figure out who you are? This project is about YOU! It's 100% anonymous. No one has to know it's you unless you want them to. This is your public secret. On display. To be discussed.
